Ready to Make a Difference?
Saving lives takes a village—and our fosters and volunteers are the heart of ours. Whether you open your home, help at an event, transport a dog, or lend your talents behind the scenes, the time you give becomes a second chance.
You do not need rescue experience to get involved. You just need a willingness to learn, follow our safety guidelines, and show up with compassion.
Five Ways to Change a Life
Choose the role that fits your home, schedule, and strengths. Every one of these opportunities helps a dog move closer to safety and a family.
Foster a Dog
Open your home. We provide the rest.Foster families give dogs a safe place to decompress, grow, heal, and prepare for adoption. We provide supplies and coordinate approved medical care—you provide daily care, patience, and love.
Adult fosters should be prepared to care for their dog until adoption. Puppies under eight weeks generally stay in foster until they are old enough to be spayed or neutered and made available for adoption.
Start a foster application →Help with Transport
Be the safe ride between where they were and where they are going.Transport volunteers help move dogs from shelters to foster homes and assist with trips to veterinary appointments, adoption events, and other approved destinations.
A reliable vehicle, safe driving, and clear communication can make an enormous difference.
Support an Event
Help our dogs meet their future families. At adoption and fundraising events, volunteers may help set up, greet visitors, handle dogs, keep puppy areas tidy, answer basic questions, and pack everything up afterward.
There is no ongoing minimum commitment for event volunteers. An hour here and a Saturday there still matters.
See upcoming events →Share Your Creative Skills
Help great dogs get noticed.Strong photos, videos, bios, graphics, and social posts help adopters see each dog’s personality. If you enjoy photography, writing, marketing, or content creation, your skills can help dogs find homes faster.
Take a Dog Out for the Day
Give an adult dog a break—and help us learn who they are.A day trip gives a dog exercise, enrichment, new photos, and a chance to show us how they behave away from the rescue. A walk, quiet afternoon, or dog-friendly outing can give us valuable information for their adoption profile.
